Graphics, with a little help from my friends

My previous post featured some comically bad photo editing work for the sake of good math.

This is a representation of the binary number 1001000, which equals 72 in the decimal notation most of us use most of the time. I think I did pretty nice job; you’ll think so too, if you ignore the fact that I should have made it 1000111 (a.k.a. 71).

Seven rolls; the first, fifth, sixth and seventh have black seeds. The latter three are clearly exact copies of the first one, with conspicuous rectangular borders.

My revision, which took about 30 seconds using MS Paint.

This is not the masterpiece of historical bread revision I would have liked, but—would you believe it?—within four hours of the original posting I received not one but two unsolicited graphic revisions! Four hours may seem like a long time, but keep in mind that the post went up at 12:18 PM, meaning that the two contributors, despite having actual jobs, still managed to improve on my work during regular business hours.
